The Masthead

The Masthead appears at the top of the page and is generally used to define the space in which to establish your Identity using your logo, name or slogan.

For the most part, the masthead's control group adheres to the standard box model, with controls for width, margin, padding, border, border-radius, box-shadow and linear-gradient.

Additionally, there are the checkbox options Orphan and Drop.

Orphan jettisons the masthead from the page container. This is useful, for example, when you want to control your content width using the page container, but you want a full-width masthead.

Drop moves the masthead from its position above the navigation, and “drops” it below the navigation bar.
